Many of the awe inspiring traits of the Friesian horse such as their beauty, bone, movement, trainable mind, deep angled shoulder, neck set, and overall size have been been passed on to other breeds creating a gifted sport horse proven to excel in disciplines from combined driving to classical dressage.

Friesian crossbreeding is encouraged by the German registry FPVZ as a way to promote the many wonderful attributes of the Friesian horse. Crossbreeding is open to all other registered breeds. The most common combinations being the Thoroughbred Morgan, Arabian, and Quarter Horse.

There are an exciting number of registration options for these Friesian crosses including Half Friesian with the German registry, Half Arab, Moresian, and Quaresian registries, as well as the Friesian Sport Horse Registry.
